In 2022, we continued to enhance and diversify our service portfolio for shipowners and operators, as well as to strengthen our relationships and cooperation with National Maritime Authorities and International Ship Registers (ISRs), building on our year-over-year progress.

In the execution of our entrusted government activities, we continued to expand INSB Class’s global recognition among flag states in order to provide our clients with additional options for the survey and delivery of IMO regulatory-related services.

By end December 2022, a total of 41 government authorities had included INSB Class amongst their authorized Recognized Organizations.

The IMO RO Code provides flag States with a standard that assists in achieving harmonized and consistent global implementation of requirements established by the instrument of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for the assessment and authorization of recognized organizations (ROs);

Within year 2022, INSB Class revalidated its overall scope of authorization and responsibilities as a delegated RO following periodic oversight audits conducted by the below Flag Administrations:

OCTOBER 2022 | LIBYA MARITIME TRANSPORT AUTHORITY

Between 13 to 19 October 2022, INSB Class welcomed to is headquarters an official delegation by the Libyan Ports & Maritime Transport Authority (LP & MTA). During the visit, both INSB Class –as a Libyan approved RO– and the Maritime Transport Authority of Libya, consented to collaborate more closely and effectively towards promotion of maritime safety and security.

NOVEMBER 2022 | PANAMA MARITIME AUTHORITY

On 27th of November 2022 INSB Class participated to the one-day Annual RO/RSO Meeting organized by Panama Maritime Authority held at Panama City, addressing themes related to fleet quality, monitoring and control as well as environmental topics such as the implementation of MARPOL EEXI and CII regulations.

USCG APPROVAL

Since 2006, INSB Class remains approved by the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for Classification Society Activities under 46 CFR part 2, subpart 2.45) , in reflection of our commitment to achieve ever-higher standards.

INSB classed vessels freely operate in the United States waters, on the same basis with IACS classed fleet.
